11/13/2022 0 Comments Autodesk sketchbookI hope someone reads this and fixes the problem as I much prefer this app over Procreate. The amount of times I had to close it and restart it in order to actually finish a segment of the drawing, is maddening, so much so that I’ve had to export it to Procreate in order to actually finish it with out having an aneurism. However, today I would start drawing and then after five minutes it would begin to lag and then freeze where I would have to wait a number of minutes for it to fix itself. Before today I have always just been able to close the app and restart it and it’s fixed itself, and it’s been nothing more than a slight inconvenience. It’s been doing this for a while, I can’t pinpoint just when but for most of the time I’ve had this app. I have never written a review before as I have never felt the need, however, the pure rage I have felt in the last few hours has driven me to write this. I only have one complaint, besides from this one complaint I’m quite satisfied with the app. I love this app but it’s driving me insane. I recommend getting the app if you just feel like drawing or if you are getting into drawing. I would love it if I could just invite my friend and he would help out in a drawing project.Īll in all, with the 3 changes/additions I made, this app gets a 5 star rating but without those changes it get a good 4 stars. A final addition which would be my favourite is the addition to share a drawing document with someone else. Another thing to change could be a way so that the gradient tool had a mode where the middle colour was just the two colours perfectly merged and so the gradient would be seamless. I find it a bit annoying when I am trying to fill in a drawing and it floods everywhere, luckily there is the undo button. What I mean by this is that the fill tool will only fill until a gap get to a certain thickness. It would be nice if the fill tool was like a smart fill tool. There is a few features that I would like Autodesk to add. The app is great for people who are drawing for the first time or if experienced people just want to draw anywhere without bringing a computer with them. I love sketchbook, it has many brush and pencil styles, a unlimited amount of layer possible and an intuitive menu making finding everything incredibly easy without getting in the way of you drawing. Great Drawing App But Could Use A Small Amount Of Changes I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking for an effective phone/tablet drawing app. The touch and drag system is nice, and it even has a stabiliser! I draw on my iPhone with my finger, and I can say that it’s very easy to use and produces very lovely drawings! I love drawing and now I can do it wherever I go. As I said before, there are SO MANY BRUSHES! You can easily play around with different styles and backgrounds. It has everything a full paying professional program has. With professional-grade drawing tools in a beautiful interface. I thought this app would just be another one constantly begging you to pay but it exceeded my expectations by far! It’s completely free, with no brushes to buy or features to unlock for money! It has a massive variety of brushes and erasers and blending tools! The preface is pretty simple and easy to use. SketchBook is sketching, painting, and illustration software for all platforms and devices. I just wanted a free drawing app with a simple layer system. I got so bored and tired that i was willing to try anything. Sketchbook Pro is certainly not Procreate but being about to use it on Windows and MacOS can be very convenient.I was looking for any free drawing app for a long time. It's still kinda worth the money though considering the features you get and it's a one time purchase. View Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection. Its a cheap yet usable program that runs on all. Which means if you have to buy two licenses if you want to work on Windows and MacOS. SketchBook drawing app and painting software helps digital artists and illustrators design with. The Autodesk SketchBook Pro software is a fantastic alternative to Photoshop and other painting programs. I'm not sure if users will be getting a free upgrade.įor Windows and MacOS users, Sketchbook Pro is US $19.99 each on each platform. Over at the Sketchbook blog, they also talked about the transition and what artists can expect.įrom what I can see currently, Autodesk Sketchbook that's now on Google Play Store and Apple App Store is still the old version: Autodesk Sketchbook v5.1.7 which was updated more than a year ago. It's a good move to build a stronger identity for Sketchbook Pro. The app is called Sketchbook Pro instead of Autodesk Sketchbook. Thomas Heermann from Autodesk explained the move and also talked about the history of Sketchbook. Autodesk Sketchbook is now Sketchbook Inc, an independent company spinned off from Autodesk in June 2021.
